Gutted for the poor lad as most of you know I have currently got 2 tidy cav turbos tucked away and if someone tryed pinching either I wouldn't sleep at night untill I had torn there nuts off with a fire poker and crushed there head in a vice! Most stuff cav T related from the midlands as spud will tell you comes to my atention usually if its cheap due to alot of contacts in the scene so will ask about. Regards the transfer box would be more distinct now days if it actualy had a working one in it

I also assume if there was only lock and cowling damage then it didnt even have an alarm #idiot

Either that or it did and they couldnt get it running, he hasnt been specific but in the original thread on ctoc, it sounds like it was found a street or so away in some lockup garages, couldve rolled it away quietly and not got it running like as what happened to Ste's xe nova many moons ago!

Unbelievable news!!!! My car was found today with only lock and cowling damage. Apparently a man with a garage at the end of the next street phoned police to say a car had been dumped/hidden there. It's gone off for forensics at the moment but I will have it back very soon. I'm soooooo happy. its been a horrible couple of days. A BIG THANK YOU to anyone who posted here or shared this on Facebook or any other forum. It's much appreciated

Aye, until he gets the bill from the recovery company, as they aint cheap... I should know by now lol lol

On the downside, who ever took it will soon realise its going back to its owner.... Invest big in security before it goes again sadly.

lucky boy....get a disk lock on it bud...old cavs are easy to rob.

Great news!

As for the recovery fees, I'm sure if he's fond of his car, and it's worth a few quid (are they?), then that will be the least of his concerns.

Edited for accuracy!

And yes Liamp, theyre getting that way, wont find a rough one for less than about £1500 now, thats if you can find one at all!

In the last year, the only Cavs of note I have seen are a couple of GSI's.
I guess the Turbo was thin on the ground from the off, thinking about it.

As said, you can nick most all cars with a lollypop stick and a brass neck!

That's great news hopefully some of the other classic cars that have been stolen recently will also get recovered.

I'm liking how both recently stolen cars have been found with minimal damage
