Rev Counter

Ive just bought a rev counter from corsanova, there are four wires. now have i wired it right??

black wire to earth

red wire to live

white to side lights

green to green rev counter wire.

Ive got a K reg SRI, which doesnt have coil, ive fitted a digi dash and the rev counter works fine on that.

so could the rev counter b faulty or have i done something wrong??

The wiring sounds ok to me. Check the connections are ok. Have you linked the green wire to the same one as the digital dash revs wire?

Well Naps,
Considering that it came directly from my rally car purely because I am removing the dash completely for the next event and fitting a larger twin guage unit, I know it was fine, so it must be wired wrongly, I will go out in a bit and look and jog my memory as to which wires it was attached to.

it is directly wired to the wire for my digi dash. The rev counter on my dash works fine.

Ive checked all the connection several times.

If it works fine what have i done wrong???

the only thing which works is the light, so that says to me that the earth, live and the white wire for the light controller is fine.

Which car are you fitting it to?

Out of interest have you tried all the connectors to the coil?

the sri doesnt have a coil,

Have you set the switch to 2 cylinder?

2 cylinder, the switch reads 4 6 8
