ah so there is no spring that goes between the rear axle and chassis

Yes^ pulls the coilover in away from the wheel and tyre. Also makes the coilover sit straight which is better.

Worst shape aftermarket rear turrets ever IMO.

Escort Mk1/2 round turrets are far more pleasing to the eye.

They look like the Escort one Rally design sell... Most round ones are made...

Thats exactly what they are. Id rather spend the extra £20 odd an have rounded ones though as you can buy them off the shelf, same as tubbed rear inner archs. If your gonna go through all that hassle youd atleast want it to look as nice as possible.

EDIT: And intercooler cut out panels, off the shelf part for a Escort Mk1/2 and will easily fit a Nova.

Sorry i mean the ones in the pic (square) look like the rally design ones that are Escort... I've never seen round ones for sale.. (when i was looking for some)

Didn't know you could get ic cut outs tho...

Round ones are easy to make anyway, whats wrong with a round tube and welding a plate on the top? it must be easier than welding 2 corners on abit of steel to make it square lol

lol ^ exactly what i did!! All sealed and painted after though.

In the not too distant future when i strip it, i will more than likely cut it all out and put some turrets in though!
