Bizarre! I swear that's the reg plate I got with my 1.6, I checked it on DVLA and it came up as a 1598 vauxhall so I assumed I remembered it right lol

I'll go an check it if the BMW doorstop still starts edit - deader than a dead thing

I'm sorry if you actually got to the motor factors with that Graeme, seems you have a couple to use now though!

It's still probably the same engine, I'd love to see the look the on the motor factors face when Graeme mentions it though lol

Well the thing is it must be the wrong reg, I thought it was what I used for all the parts when I converted my first car, but the plate is definitely off a Nova GSi so it can't be that one!

I asked if the guy had a reg when I collected the engine and he actually appeared out the garage with the plate off the car lol

Everything is computerised these days, its far easier to look stuff up and get it right first time, using a reg number!

Bits can be looked up by make/model, but are way less likey to be as accurate as you will be asked spec related questions, whereas nine times out of ten, a reg negates the need for those questions :thumb:

This,the one i use,are brilliant,if you have a reg,quick price,if not,they will scour the book,unlike the fukktards who say "computer says noooow"
Main dealers need a reg, most good factors wont.
