f10/5 wide and f13/5 close - differences

are there any differences between these 2 boxes bar the ratio's ?

from what ive heard, the higher numbered boxes are stronger, but how ?

and

i heard someone say something about a double synchromesh in the f13 ?

Mostly its a larger bell housing on the f13.. The 4th gear in the f10/5wr is the same as the 5th gear in the f13/5cr.

Quite simply, the f13 is way newer than the f10, so will in all probabilitym be more reliable
