Any colour (think they only came in grey)

At a push you can fit the small round one from a mk2, thats what ive done, its not right obviously and doesnt fill the cavity flush, but it covers the unsightly hole and its not massively noticeable that its out of place either :thumb:

not a bad idea Spud, im wanting the mk1 one to make it flush really

Aye i understand that, but youre probably more likely to find a mk2 one for less than nothing, as more mk2's will have come with them than mk1's, as most mk1 novas had a choke fitted didnt they!

They started fitting them when they started fitting auto chokes to the Pierburg's. I think they were fitted from 86 on so some of the last brown dash SR's had the blanking plate

i would leave the choke lever there to give it that more retro look

The only one i have is a LHD brown one, which wont do atall.
