It's not a nova I am looking for, it is a TRD MR2 Spyder(the SW20 model). There were only 91 built and only 5 left Japan apparently.

Thing is, there were 2 at the Japanese Auto Extravanganza??? at billing a couple of weeks ago and apparently one was for sale.

If anyone knows who the car belongs to or knows where I can get some info about them, please let me know.

cheers

John

Thing is, I was going to be building one of the 355 replicas, but I went to see some at a show on sunday and they looked rubbish up close. Then whilst looking through some pics from another jap show, I noticed the TRD MR2 spyder. I got in touch with someone from the MR2 owners club and he gave me an email address, but the guy hasn't responded, so I have posted messages all over the place on different boards trying to track the car down.

that is what the car looks like.

whilst typing this I have been informed of another contact, so fingers crossed!!!!

Why do you want a convertable? Convertables are for girls or hairdressers or men who have problems attracting the opposite sex...oh...

Just kidding dude

The kit is ?3000.

Why not just buy a 'rarri. Pocket money cars.

the 355 kit is amazing looking from a distance, but when you get up close it is obvoiusly just an mr2 with a bodykit.

Ste, I did think about doing the 355 kit on one of these spiders, but the spider is so rare it would be ashame to take away from it's original looks........maybe.....

the 355 kit can be bought from america for around ?1500, and they reckon it takes 150 hours to fit, but to be honest, I think it would take a whole lot longer to do it if you wanted a really decent replica, plus there are probably more of the 355 replicas around now than there are the spiders.

just got to wait and see what I end up getting my hands on.
