Corsa suspension on a nova/ emissions

Hi, my 1.3 SR nova failed the mot today on front suspension and emissions, the rear has been lowed before and the fronts on coilovers, theres a corsa b at my scrap yard and was wondering if i could use the front struts on the front just for the mot. also it failed on emissions The Co was 5.66 can i just twist the mixture screw to turn this down ? how would i know if its lower with out a emissions tester ?

check your choke, ignition timing and do a general health check first before you touch any screws. once you have eliminated all the possible causes of the high CO, have a friendly word with your re-tester and ask him if he will kindly let you have a screw about while its on his machine.
