i spotted some pies in the supermarket the other day. i thought, yeah why not, treat myself to a couple (only a quid each)

so, im getting all excited a minute ago, fray bentos, fray bentos... and i forgot i dont have a bloody tin opener !!
i dont have a swiss army knife either to do it the oldskool way, and im not about to destroy an expensive chefs knife to cannibalize my way in...

any idea's chaps ?

i might have to resort to a hammer and chisel for christ sake

i got in after 5 mins of grunting. i used one of my bushcraft knives. rolled the edge on pretty bad, but she's a warrior, she'll sharpen up good with a bit of work on the stone.
not sure if i wanna eat it now tho, might be metal filings in it from all the carving, i think ill rinse it under the tap and slap it in the oven lol

I had this exact same problem a couple of months ago lol

I stabbed it around the top edge with a small sharpe cheese knife! It took around 45 minutes to fully open and inspect for metal shavings but the end result was great lol

45 minutes ! bloody hell you had to fight for that meal.
i was lucky my knife got thru it in about 4 or 5 mins with breaks to stop and swear at the tin lol, wrecked the edge on the knife, but ill sort it out

If you still resided in the country of your birth, that would be considered a delicacy.

What has become of you, ML?
