Hi does the mk4 astra caliper carrier come off.

I could only find one bolt and it looked like part of the hub. But then again how would you get the disk off

Awesome one of my caliper sliders is threaded so I had to superglue it in today

my 53 plate 1.6 sxi one the carrier was part of the hub so yes and no depending on model

got any pics of it, and good sign to see if carrier is part of the hub is that the sping clip will be part of the pad iirc

then carrier is part of the hub to get disk off, take caliper off, undo screw that holds disk on and you should be able to wiggle the disk off.
MAKE SURE YOU DONT STRIP THE THREADS ON THE HUB AS EVERY ONE THAT IVE DONE IN THIS STYLE THE TREADS WHERE STRIPED

One of the caliper slides is stripped that's what I need to fix

you have 3/4 options then
*find some sliders with slighty bigger thread and re tap hub to new slider
* same as above but just put bolt in there instead (what i did on one)
* if it goes all the way in just doent tighten just put **** loads of locktight on the thread
* new hub whic means new wheel bearing to
