Is the raised bonnet helps something about the engine bay vent?

The bonnet raise was to let out the hot air in the bay as the carbs(now bodies) are at the back of the bay sucking in hot so if with the bonnet raised at the back air circulates better

Yep and a F28. Fitted my let with F20 from the bottom, found it harder and annoying..lol
Damaging the paint.. Yeah you have to be careful.

No, if you are careful it wont touch anything.. I've never touched any paint working doing it.

Looks fantastic! Very pleased that engine found a home in a nova as I was very tempted by it also! Hope to see the car at a show or two. Oh and just a tip... Id trim the bumper carrier well clear of the boost pipes as they will possibly end up holed with all the vibrations if they continue to rub on the carrier.

i did mine from the top, was made alot easier with a load leveller as you can get the angles right.

does your front bumper fit on with the intercooler?

Bay looks great, everything looks so nice and clear and tidy. I'd have put the alt on first tho, it's a **** putting your arm up the back on the engine..lol
