Hazard light problem

I've sorted the usual mk2 hazard light switch but i now have a problem with the hazard lights themselves when i turn the hazards on only the left indicators work yet the indicators work on both sides. i have found that i can get both sides to flash together by indicating right and turning the hazards on but this is no good for the mot.

can anyone point me in the right direction? could i have put the hazard switch back together wrong?

I didn't notice this problem before fixing the switch so i don't know where to start.

this may sound stupid but.............check you havn't bent a pin reinserting the switch?

not round my way there is a nova owner but it's your typical stuck in the 90's chav paintcan back box and huge wheels kind of guy plus i think it's a mk1 lol

when you say you have sorted the switch what do you mean ?? have you done the diode mod or the sitch mod ??
