Nice one mate, next time I'm working up your way I will try and pop into the museum to have a look:thumb:
David.
Looks like a nice clean example youve got there.
Theres are a car show at this museum in june or july do any of the Scottish members fancy going to the show? Maybe get some of the members from up that involved.
thanks, the car show i think is called motivation? I haven't been for a few years but, my seven did win 3rd best car in 2006. They used to have stuff on aswell as the static show, ie wall of death and russ swift doing stunts etc, but no idea what it's like these days although I'm sure I'll be this year (in a nova)
Looks in lovely condition, shame its a mini lol
Awww...you've hurt my ffeelings although, I do have a cleaner b reg Nova but they wouldn't be interested in it yet................

If we all liked the same cars then we'd only have one model of car lol

Lovely mini, credit to yourself, there's a very similar one in the Glasgow transport museum, love these places could spend hours there but the missus gets bored :D

really???
ok, a mini is great to chuck about round town or on short trips, but i used to hammer mini's on a regular basis in the 80's in my totally std 1.2 merit. all i needed was an open road...
ps. OP that does look a very nice early mini.

Lol love it
Hate driving minis, I can't let the clutch out without getting my feet trapped against the dash and I feel like a string puppet lol

They really are though, I own both. The Mini is only a 998, and it's fantastically more fun to drive than a Nova. My Nova handles well (coilovers, strut brace, rally top mounts etc.) but the Mini is in a whole different league. Nova is far quicker, but compared to the mini the handling is terrible.
ok, mini feels like a gokart but a nova goes faster, is more comfortable & won't fold round you in an accident

True, but if I wanted a fast and safe car I'd buy something modern and boring.
Looks ace bud but in my opinion a car is no good sat in a mueseum it needs to be driven!!
the car is there for 2 years for a break and I have to rotate the too many cars I have so that one is used for one out of every three years, or sell some...never, I drove it from Aberden to Birmingham 3 years ago for the minis 50th anniversary meeting, was ace.
I love the early one, the space inside is brilliant and with only 848cc, it's nothing like my cooper but, very nippy round town. I love both minis and novas and in reality neither are very safe cars but both are great to drive which may be why people love them.
