You'll be lucky to get some free ones, try your local charity shop.

There's normally some pretty good deals for free weights on eBay. You can get a bench and 100kg weight set for around 200. That's for vinyl though. Have to pay a bit more for cast iron.

I wouldn't bother with vinyl ones unless your just starting out and want light weights, they are too big for the fairly low weight they are.

I doubt you'll get any for free unless its off a mate, plenty of people buy them and give up quickly enough so have a look in your local freeads, gumtree, ebay etc for a cheap deal. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a sneaky 99p bargain from a pick up only ebay auction that nobody else bids on.

I did think that, but you never know if you ask around, most home exercise equipment just ends up with random stuff piled up on it from lack of use so people will give stuff away. Ask mates and you may get free weights for free :)

Hence why I said you can get decent sets of free weights for 200.....

i dont like vinyl weights the fillings brake loose in them and the casings split, better off just going straight for cast if you can

i hate the gym with a passion, i started skipping and running but my right ankle and foot cant take that kind of abuse anymore, so thats why im going to start lifting weights again
