Gte vin

Hi, can anyone tell me what the first few letters of a vin on a GTE are? Tryin to get a Q plate taken off mine for an age related plate, want to confirm my vin is vauxhalls own as plate is missing. Thanks

I wouldve thought the first few letters would be the same as all older, if not all vauxhalls anyways, i know for a fact all Seat and Renault chassis numbers start with the same five/six letter combinations!

So if thats true you just need the first bit of any vin, it certainly wont be any different on a GTE!




A quick google seems to show that nova VIN's all start VSX0000

Im waiting for Vauxhall Heritage at Luton to get back to me on me cars history.....because DVLA say if i can prove a year of manufacture, i can have an age related plate..

VSX000093

The 93 denotes a 3 door shell, the first letter after the 93 denotes the year it was made so

VSX000093M is a 3 door hatch made in 1991

If you go to the local dealer, they should be able to enter the VIN into EPC and tell you what model it is?

Nope its an import so vauxhall are saying? Russia was mentioned ! the plot thickens... they are going to get back to me...

They were all made in Spain, were they not ?
