is there any way to anti-chav, calipers that have been painted ?

always hated the 90's maxpower centre-fold look. it actually makes me slightly infuriated

As in strip the paint off?

Best bet would probably be to clean them up then paint over them with a non offensive colour like silver, black etc. Coudl try something like nitromoors but you'd probably need to be careful about not getting any round the seals etc.

You will need to paint them with slim fast paint

yeh, id prefer the ' real steel ' look, but i think ill have to paint them once cleaned up, as theyll be exposed to rust. black is the one :)

yeh, either go the messy way and take the caliper off the frame and pump out on the pedal, or get an airline and blow it out through where the hose fits.

when fitting them back together use some brake fluid as a lubricant or some proper brake seal lube, some sort of red stuff. is a bit fiddly but they eventually go back in.
