Hi there, I am after some 14 tyre, 185/55 would be good for me with but them must grip fairly well for the size. I am running medium priced average tyres atm and they are lacking in grip a little. Really don't want to change the wheels so what would you suggest?

Road. It has getting on for 130 odd bhp to put through them so they have to be okay. Looking at toyos etc but not sure

What type of Pilots? There are loads.

pilot sx, mine were 2nd hand but had never been fitted to a car as they were on spare rims from a saxo and cost me £30 for the pair

I will look into them. Seems the other option is to run 15s but really don't want to do that

I think Pilot SX's have been discontinued for a long while, they are Exalto's now or Pilot Sport 3's. In that size you will not get PS3's though

dont do it balley, stick with the 14's :)

ive always quite like pirelli p6000's myself, good allround tyre thats not bad in the wet and doesnt punish your wallet too badly.
maybe not as good as your looking for. they tend to wear down kinda quick once theyve heated up, like every tyre tho i guess.

nutta :)
mind you, ive driven thru your area a few times, and youve got the roads to do it.
that A66 from brough along towards barnard is a bit of a beast.
since ive moved to bloody london, my car hasnt been over 50 mph ! and thats breaking all the rules flashing cameras with the rozzers on your tail ! lol ... gotta get outta this place.
smallblock for the win :)

yer i go up the 66 to penrith every day for work by flusco wood, there are a few good streches past barny castle towards scotch corner i used to get my vectra flat out on. i want a bigblock tho to put some reps to shame on these roads as its the best place to own one i think

Problem is I am running a 2.0 16v, The td is okay with them as the power allows you to get going first but the XE has a lot of low down grunt.

150 donkies is alot

how about some wider wheels, 14 x 6's or something ?
probably cost a sh1t load for the complete package tho :S
