XE Idle and Rev Problems..

I start it up and the revs fall as normal but as soon as it hits about 1-1.5k it just falls of and dies. There is a delay in accelerator response, if any response atall, after the battle to stop it cutting out. But as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator the revs fall considerably slower than it should, but again when it gets near 1-1.5k it just drops off rapidly. ICV is mint, cant find any air leaks.. Getting it to run past startup involves a battle with the accelerator.
This all happened suddenly, went out in the morning all was perfect. Tried to go out at lunch and this is happening...

have you tried i different idle control valve?. otherwise, try a different air flow meter and throttle positioning sensor. if its distributor type, then try re align the throttle position sensor too.
