Right so Ive been sending off my c.v to any job going that tickles my fancy
debt collecting
trainee cnc technician
more metering jobs, and lots and lots more, now one has come back a car sales job for the pentagon derby in form of a letter.
This letter goes on about coming in to a open evening to meet other candidates, managers and people all ready working there, sounds alright to me, untill....
'as part of the recruitment process we want you to conduct a mystery shop, choose a 2nd hand car from are listings, phone up and go take it for a test drive, then report back to us on how are current sales team done'
sorry have i just entered the TV world of 'The apprentice' here or something, this seems like the most unlikely way to get a job ever I'm half expecting sir sugar to show up, plus not to forget this is only a 15k a year job! and this isnt even the propper interview :tard:
has anyone on here ever had to jump these strange hoops for a job before?
what happened to nPower ?
that sounds like a load of nonsense lol

n power are meant to be ringing me back with in the next week, i dont want to keep pestering the bloke organizing it all as Ive all ready talked to him 4 odd times on the phone and emailed him aswell lol
what's wrong with a face to face interview?
Are/our. A classic on here. lol
go to a interview, get the job (or not lol ), sorted
any other crap aint worth the bother imo
Ahhhh those magic sales "interviews"..... Basically whoever can be bothered to do al the stupid tasks gets a trial job, you never get paid properly and you get bored and leave.
Been there seen the tricks, mates got sucked in etc.
Same old format, same old scam.

I work for Pentagon and I will be honest, they are a very very good company to work for as far as dealer groups go. Not heard about that interview process though!
They are still a small one man owned dealer group that is generally run quite well.
hahahahaha
And LOL at are.

Out of all them, CNC tech is the better job IMO. Wouldnt even entertain messing about jumping through hoops to maybe get a job lol

it wasn't brilliant money, around 15k if i remember right, only applied as it sounded interesting
tj, warehouse work pays better than that....
the cnc thing won't amount to much cos you didn't go straight from school into it as its shyte money for about 5 years, and these days, one qualified machinist looks after a room full of machines.. there isn't the need like there was.
i knew a lad from school who got a job as a trainee car salesman, 1st morning a senior salesman told him to pass all the leads onto him to finalise.. so the mug did, and they let him go cos he hadn't sold anything!!!! lol
anyway, don't you need to have finance qualifications to sell from a main dealer these days?

Cnc work is utterly the most boring job in the world. My brother in law is fully qualified with shares in the place he works thats doing really well. But its all batch work for BAE and the NHS ect. Sounds exciting and it is the first few times you watch the machines do their job but it soon becomes a bore. Once the machines programmed its just a case of loading another chunk of alloy into the machine, clamping it down and pressing start. Time after time after time.

its hardly difficult to get another touch screen test.

i will give it another week before going and getting another cscs card, 30 quid is to much money to throw into the wind right now :/
Any job base on OTE is a farce... proper salary/hourly rate or its not worth it.

Just think about what you're saying camels toe.

Depends who you work for. Did that on £25-£30k a year. However it took an apprenticeship and extra training to get there.
Was all one offs so wasn't boring. It ended being the huge jobs with 20minute (or longer) cuts were a god send just to veg out for a shift once in a while.

Wherw i work pay 34k + 14% shift allowance for a qauled cnc machinist. Thats far from rubbish imo.

Yet more proof I'm being waaaaaaaaaay underpaid lol
ok stu, but nuneaton & bedworth does attract danger money... lol
its the sort of place where school kids write about what they want to be if they grow up.......
