x16xe ecu for converted corsa b

hi now ive been having problems with my car cutting out after a couple seconds of starting, the garage said my old ecu wont let them read any codes etc, so i bought a ecu chip and transponder from a breakers, but now apparrently this is'nt the right one, its getting on my ****ing nerves now so would like some help if anyones pissing me about as now this has cost me another week! heres some pictures of the ecu's,

The white and red one is for a X16xe.

The cream red is for a X16xel.

Ok thanks matey so that tells me my engines a x16xel? That's the one that came off my car but has power box etc and seemed fine, so is the confirming it won't run on that other ecu aswell?

The connectors are different I thought between the white ones and cream ones with some pins missing inside the connectors... is that not the case?

Ok mate well the pins look the same although on the bottom of the connector is slightly different so I see how they mean it didn't fit, so I need an x16xel ecu chip and transponder? Cheers buddy

Just get the ones which has the same colours as your wires from the loom ;)

Bizarrely I've got a X16xel ECU with the original ignition Key with the transponder at home from a Tigra, I'll take pictures tonight for you if your interested?

only thing is a garage is doing the work/have the car, unless i ask them what colour the wires are on the loom? or would i be safe to buy another 'cream plug' ecu an for it to fit? (and hope it fits as thats what came off?) yeah if you could buddy? be great!! i only noticed a slight difference on the bottom of the cream plug to the white plug (but can see it will plug in differently) i didnt know much as i didnt do the conversion or anything and not 100% confident digging through it to find a hay stack of a mess lol

I had the same issue on an old conversion but the other way around, that's why I still have the cream and red one lol

Lol!! Nightmare at the best of times, sounds like the ecu I need then (didn't help I thought it was an x16xe lol) but hopefully this will get nearer my problem lol cheers buddy! An let us know about ecu etc :thumb:

I can't seem to find any other ecu with the same part/numbers as mine what so ever so abit concerned now whatever il try might be wrong again :(

Nope my 4letters and part number come back as corsa/tigra x16xe? And the one he sent me comes up as astra x16xel, my old details 16178209, bnam and his one: 16214259, Bzky any advice much appreciated, as apparently this was my fault as I asked for an x16xe one first but checked the numbers and says I was right in thinking it is an x16xe as the one he sent (x16xel) didn't fit (which was an x16xe one apparently)

The cream red IS a x16xe one.

I've the white and red one which is a x16xel.

why not get the engine loom from the same car as you got the ecu from with the white plug.. that will / should be fine then. and its easy to change. just an idea..

Ok cheers buddy least it's confirmed now, cause half my loon is butchered and as its a converted shell I'm not sure everything is plug and play, can just get ecu chip and transponder with same ecu code

ohh i see what you mean, and yeah i suppose it be easier just to get same one again, just a little expensive aint it.. you should stick that otherone up for saleso that can pay for your new one :)

Could anyone tell me if this one will work? It's coming back as an x16xe on part number but has a white plug, part numbers 16214249, code is cmjs if anyone can help thanks

That's the same code as mine, it won't fit the cream plug I promise :(

Oh really? Got it from a tigra, got clocks ecu key and chip and transponder, plastic arch, side repeaters, washer jet pump etc for a fiver so no big deal but there bloody hard to find! If anyone knows of one let us know.. So does the code etc need to be the same as my old one? Or just cream plug x16xe ecu chip and transponder?

Only cause I put the part number in an it said x16xe corsa/tigra I didn't think of yours lol just typed it in online

Was in the middle of the scrappy when I posted it but thought wont cost me much anyway lol
