View Full Version : Possible group buy - Carbon mirror covers

I know these rarely work out on here but I thought I'd ask, I've been speaking to Chris from Cmcomposites about making some carbon fibre mirror covers that are direct replacement and utilise the factory clips. They will not be stick on covers or wrapped, price will be £100 delivered hopefully, just seeing who would be genuine interested, I'm yet to send a cover up to Chris to get the final sizes etc. I have no details on payments yet expect the ball park price, this will probably reduce slightly the more numbers that are definite.

Any questions please ask and I'll answer or inquire where I can

Thanks Graeme

Has it been done before? If so is there any photos to illustrate, as I cant make up my mind if they'd look good.
Sounds like a nice touch though. Certainly better than wrapped covers I'd imagine.

Graeme had a set off Novacabrio a few years ago but they were bonded, I expect Chris will be able to achieve a much much better result:

These are them, they are a very thin cap that need to be bonded to the original cover (they are behind them in the image). They are in good condition but I'd say for a truly flawless finish they should be flatted back and relacquered.

Will do Barry

Cheers Dave these are the ones I wasn't happy with

Or you could go for something like this but it would be pretty compex:

Yes it has. I made some about 5 years ago, cant remember exactly what I did with them but I do have some photos somewhere.

They just look exactly the same as the ones that have already been posted up.
