Trouble code?

I just changed my nova 1.4sr to 1.6 GTE
The trouble code light in the dials does not light for me.
Is there a way to make this work?

are you on about the Engine management light?
if so does it flash on and off when you start the car?

have you conected it to the ecu? it shud be on when the ignition is on but the engine is not running!

The ECU plug has four wires correct? Red, Black, Green and Blue
Red is Live (straight to the battery)
Black is ignition ( i did it straight to the ignition plug)
Green is the rev counter ( i took that from the 1.4 coil i had)
Blue if for the fuel pump (live)

Thats all i did with regards wires.. i guess i left the fault code out?? dont know how to do that though...
