renault rx4 propshaft

Hi all not a nova but I wonder if you could help.

I was driving my dads rx4 on the motorway at 50 and there was a huge bang and I have has snapped the rear propshaft. The part from the rear diff to the coupling in the middle is missing. Is the car ok to drive in just fwd ?

not really, I would imagine it would be knocking hell out of the centre diff if it has one.

After some more research and been stranded. According to the Renault peeps its common for them to give up and many people remove them. My dads just removed its own. Cheers though

They dont have a centre diff. Why would they make something properly !!!
