Mounting 40 webers to inlet manifold.

Searching the web, i can find varying answers to this. I'd prefer to mount them solidly, the current gaskets i have are solid with an o ring either side, and mount them firmly, however most ways say to mount them so they flex with thackeray washers. Why don't they recommend to mount solidly?:):thumb:

because it causes the fuel to froth causing lean outs.

These are what i have, o ring either side. So these need thackeray washers and nylock nuts?
