Hi all, just wanted to present my new car. I've been searching for GSi since forever. Finally found something which is good on construction but some rust in rear arches and some details. I would like some opinions, if this car worth to give it a restoration.

Thanks

Not bad at all matey. I say go for it, from the pictures it looks like a very good base to start with. Do like the GSI

It looks very tidy indeed, how accessible are parts for GSIs where you are though to restore it?

Hmmm not easy to find. I mean the used stuff, new is not available. But the good part of this story is that I started a restoration earlier but the chassis was toooooooooooo rusty not worth to invest money on that one.

Thank you all ! Update soon !

I untied the top and got the rubber out from shock made it harder but turned it back around. It was to hard on my country road, too many holes.

Thanks

Agreed, Koni's can be somewhat unforgiving. Are you running red or yellow Koni's? If yellow then yes, they are harsh. But on smooth road they are quite good. As for adjusting... that's a royal pain in the backside.

Yellow ones. Series called sport. Now my setup is way better, each one had different setup hahahaha now they are aprox the same.
Can anyone help me about the hubs and shafts. GSi ones, do they fit ? Are they 22 spines ?

Thank you

There still much more work to do on the engine bay and the wires are king of messy but soon they will be solved out. Also I need to upgrade brakes.

Engine bay was pretty rough and I didn't make any strengthening to the chassis. This is how it looks now

White with lots of pearls. Also need a bit of advice. Is it the gsi radiator enough to cool the c20xe and which fan is the best to use ?

Thank you

Probably my gsi radiator was blocked with powder stop leak and it wasn't doing the job. I am having hard time shipping the fan to my country since we have postal problems. Is it possible to fit any fan from other cars on gsi radiator ?

I would go for a slim line 12 inch fan off eBay mate
