I whipped the seats out to put in the Nova but it's a simple switch back and I have the heated leathers fitted most of the time now I have the Nova though. The cage is a Weichers one. Aye, she came back out as the weather was nice today, took her to work yesterday then it rained, so i left the cover off last night with the intention of giving it a good clean and polish then back on with the cover, but it stayed nice so i gave her a really good clean/polish and went out for a blast :d

Thats on cup shocks and -40mm eibacch sportline springs and is an awesome combo, handles brilliantly.
Its on the standard speedline turinis there, but i've taken them off and blasted them ready for a refurb.

Very nice. I would love an Alfa. Are they really as troublesome as one would be led to believe?

They have their faults, but looked after right, and find someone who knows how to work on them, and they are as reliable as any other car. Certainly better than any VAG stuff with their multitude of "common faults"

Older ones are yeah, the newer ones have lost pretty much all the dodgy reliability stories!
Only common issue is 147 is suspension bushes, they have loads of arms,balljoints etc etc. And front arb bushes are a 4 hour subframe dropped job lol

Mines been 100% spot on, looks nice inside and out, handles superbly, and revs all day :d
As of yet its been the most reliable car ive owned. If you get a 147 just make sure you get a "Lusso" model or above, loaded with spec!!
And of course because everyone who aint owned one thinks they are unreliable you can get a serious bargain! Easily pickup an 04-05 plate one for a grand.

Mines a later spec TS 1.6 16v(120hp)
Not the quickest, but does the job.

Better than a mk4 is every way tbh lol (apart from the Alfa being in emissions class road tax=expensive)
The only regret i have is not getting the 2.0 version, oh and not getting a red one! lol

I used to have an alfa 147 JTD 1.9 8v diesel, got it at a bargain price too was loaded with red leather, air con, electric everything, was a very nice car, only ever had a problem with a boost pipe leaking as one of the gearbox bolts was very long and rubbed a hole in it (common fault), the ex CowBag still has it 4 years on with no faults.

Earth stud for the gearbox, badly positioned from the factory, you just swap it with the bolt above it that doesn't have a stud on it.

Replacing it as a whole is the best bet, the brackets that hold the bushes are welded whole, it's more trouble than its worth to split them unless your going poly.

Easiest way to describe it is stabiliser off, disconnect the front exhaust section, drop the back of the subframe (and the front half of the tunnel) but leave the subframe on the car, there's just enough room to spin the bar 180 degrees and manoeuvre it out
