A Kent NVO61 is listed as an injection spec cam for a 1400/1600

A Kent AST1 is listed for a carb'd smallblock

They both have the same powerband (2000-6000)

Cam lift 6.90mm on NVO61 and 6.24mm on AST1
Valve lift 11.67mm on NVO61 and 10.55mm on AST1
Timing 30/60 60/30 on NVO61 and 29/61 61/29 on AST1
Full lift 105 degree on NVO61 and 106 degree on AST1

Question; Specs look similar so would an NVO61 be effective on a 14NV?

Think the difference is that the cams for carb'd engines have an extra lobe to run the mechanical fuel pump. So an injection cam wouldn't work unless you changed your mechanical fuel pump for an uprated one and then use a regulator as the pressure will be to high.

Also the injection cams have a different overlap profile (slightly).... I would always suggest the ast2 regardless.

it could be the cam drive on the end too
