what size intercooler pipes 2.5" or 3"? 1.7 isuzu td

Hi guys
Got a front mount intercooler to go on my 1.7 isuzu nova, its got 3" ends but was wondering whether id be better continuing the 3" pipework or going down to 2.5"?

When i find one ill fit the n/a inlet manifold as ive read its much better + also has a 3" inlet

Just dont want too much lag but seems pointless going from 3" down to 2.5" pipework then back upto 3" at inlet

any help would be great

I used 2 1/4.. wouldnt go any bigger

I would say 2.25" max!

3" is huge
