Could anyone give me some advise please.
I am wanting to fit a gte engine in my sr shell but the loom that came attached to the engine is beyond use .
Firstly is the engine loom a separate item ? Secondly if I just get a full gte car loom will this be easier or if theenine looms separate can I just connect it in ?

Any help wold be much appreciated .:thumb:

A GTE engine loom will plug straight into a GTE car loom.

Its perfectly possible to wire it to your current loom however.
There is a plug with about 7/9wires on iirc, just connect it to the relevant earths, live/switched live etc etc & you are away (assuming the fuel pump is wired to the relay on the engine loom).

Its the same wiring for all injection engines so use the search function to find the million old threads & discussions about doing it.

just make sure the gte engine has all of its wiring loom on it as far as the connector. and also both ecu's, the coil & wiring & the fuel pump relay.

make sure you also have an mpi pump to feed it & also a tank with a feed & return.

the wiring for the injection, is separate to the original function of the engine wiring, so you reuse the original wiring for the starter, alternator & sensors.

as craig has said, there are literally hundreds of old threads about wiring one in

Thankyou also .
I did search but just put wiring in a e16se . I've now changed the wording and found much more info .
Sorry

a good method of searching is to do a google one with 'pngclub' followed by the specific thing you are looking for. its a way better search engine than the png one, as it also looks for things with less than 5 digits
