I think you will find that all members interact well, whether paid or unpaid members, there are alot of long term unpaid members.

I certainly don't differentiate between people/posts due to their membership status.

There are many who are good friends either personal or accross the forum.

I think you're reading into it too much.

The png 'massive' as you put it, is all of us, paid or non paid, if people are requiring help, and they put up questions explaining what it is they need/want clearly, then nine out of ten times it is given, if questions like 'zomg, my car iz broked innit blud' are posted, then they will usually get silly replies, as without knowing what car, what engine, and above all, whats wrong, then how can anyone help?

But then on the flip side (not so much anymore as the search doesnt work properly since the update) a lot of questions that come up often, were simply given answers of 'use the search' if for example it was 'how do i fit a redtop y0'

There is no secret pact to not help anyone or try to force them to pay up, obviously as a club, we need/want all the paying members we can get, but we will never ever try to bully anyone into paying, and im sorry you feel that way tbf!


Oh and just to add, the three threads that steviegsi linked, kind of blow your complaint out of the water, as the first to reply in all three were paid up members, helping a non paid member, makes your argument a little weak wouldnt you say lol

OP we are getting some trouble with people not putting enough info in their thread titles, 'help plz' is hardly a hook to get people to look at it, but if we have the info, we do try, even though a good chunk of the questions have been answered many times before & there are usually articles that cover it.

in response to the 3 thread used as examples

1. re clips, either go to a scrappy & hook some out, or take one to your local parts shop or main dealer as a pattern & ask them.. after gm's lawyers closed down opeloem, most of us can't find gm part no.s

2. re the escort seats, if you can't weld, then get some box section or angle iron & some bolts & make some adaptors up.

Simple little things make all the difference,i generally post silly replies to "help plz" threads where absolutely no thought has gone in for example "help plz,right my car is not running right yeah" Or the paragraph essays with no full stops etc that get you out of breath just reading them in your head! lol

No mention of when it started.
People cant help if users cant help themselves,it really is that simple.

i agree a bit mate i started a build in the project section and got 1 comment. and i now about 5 other lads round this area that say alot of people on here have there own little click. one of my mates went over to be a payed member at pvs a few years ago and the lad who had his money didnt realy want to no so i neva bothered just walked away after my mate payed. but most of the people on here are nice and will help. but i think thats just life some people get on and some dont

I must disagree with you both as I was a non-member for a long time and had nothing but help from this forum and as I do not live in the UK it was invaluable to me which then made it clear to me that I should repay there support by becoming a member . I'm sorry you feel this way but some time people do put up pleas for help which are not clear in there content and then it make's it hard to help them.

you can't expect tonnes of comments on a thread tho? i know from personal experience it's really difficult to get response on a project thread. seems like half the time i'm perhaps talking to myself, but ahhh well if one person reads it and enjoys it whether they comment or not it's worth it in my opinion :). I've been a forum member, then forgot to pay and had quite a while out of it, then recently signed up again, i can honestly say the only difference in changing was the extra forums, the people stay the same :).

Na, in all fairness every forum has its favourites,villains and forgotten. Png is no different. I've met some really nice guys on here really willing to help. I've met guys on here that really are **** holes. But that's life.

As for your project thread, don't take it personally. Like said there are a lot of friends on here, that are only really interested in there friends wip. I've seen very good work get no recognition. The next wip, someone's changed a light and 30 of his chums are jizzing in there pants lol

You'll soon make forum "mates" and meet local enthusiasts. Just need to knuckle down and get on with it lol
