Reg is: H65 AAE Started life as a White 1.4SR and was converted and re-sprayed Silver in 2003/2004. Lots of receipts for a Mr Riddick? Didn't know if it may be someone off here?? Looks like was done proper at the time but 10 years on it needs a bit of TLC lol

Put a deposit down today on the condition that the chassis is solid following a check on the ramps next Saturday. Trying to get pic's up but phone won't play ball atm!

Thanks Greg

Thanks for all your input men. I'm hoping there's no real rot so next Saturday it will be back with me and the tidy-up will begin!! I've messaged Grant for any additional info he can offer on it.

Thanks, Greg

Yep :d Lots of little things that need sorting and also a days welding and bits of bodywork (and there is NO handbrake!!) but I'm glad I got it! Can see it was done right back in the day :thumb:

I'll be going PVS at Pod by which time it should be looking proper again! What engine work was carried out on the rebuild and why if you don't mind me asking? Got most receipts but wondered if it let go or something?!

No it never let go i just wanted a good engine !! as the cavalier i got it from was thrashed good thing is that it has coscast head so you shouldnt get any porus issues !!!! i had it overbored due to no 3 cylinder shown slight wear but other than that every thing was fine !! hand brake set up is from an astra mk2 16v ,

where does it need welding ??

Ok thanks for that.

Rear upper spring mounts have been plated poorly, so need re-doing. Slam panel needs re-placing due to rot on the nearside. Both front inner arches need a bit cut out/welded in. O/S outer sill has started to go.

Apart from that its all cosmetic bits...the arches are good but need a sand/spray, both wings need a sand/fill/spray (rust bubbles), O/S A-pillar sand/fill/spray, O/S door has been scratched which has started to rust, so same again.

Few gaskets and seals in the engine bay and a tidy-up (make orange/green bits red again lol) then job's a gooden!!

Was the steering always heavy/stiff and not overly responsive?? I've been driving an Evo and Astravan for a while now so maybe just not used to no PAS but guessing there are some up-grades possible?
