nah im getting it fixed, phoned up the guys insurance company, told them about ym respray etc. and having it booked in and they said to get it fixed and send them 3 estimits from body repair places and photos, went and got all them today, so it's getting fixed along with the respray, just hope that if it does go in on wednesday that'll it'll be done by next friday, not sure tho.

Just seems to of got behind more and more.

Plus my car is paying up, so many things going wrong at the mo mechanicly, zorst, gear box, pistons rings, just too annoying.

Surely the structure of the car needs to be questioned if this is the second time it's been written off?

Personnaly I'd be really warey of having any bodywork done to a car if it's already been written off. After all, you don't want someone crashing into you again and have the insurance company instist on the shell being scrapped (don't know if they can request that or not).

It's your car at the end of the day, but if I was splashing out as much money as you are I'd make sure the shell was intact first.

have a flick through the usual max pooer/fast car mags the'll be a company in there somewhere sellin them

Neil.

if u look in last few revs mags there's a bit in middle with new stuff thats come out, says in there they are ?1350 EACH, hehe, so many ppl will think ive paid that, which might not be a good thing :(

I've already posted what the wheels are. I know exactly where you can get them from and what they're called. Not that it's a special power or anything.

I seriously doubt that price was listed neil, unless it was a misprint. They are only made in a 17", and when they first came out (over a year ago now) they were listed around the ?300 EACH mark (without tyres).

Yeah but you are removing the engine to have the colour change done anyhow, so its a perfect time to get the engine work done.

Unless the colourchange is only of the outside.

Both have the same effect.

Cant see Neil doing that as his car is obviously being prepared for shows so really cant see him leaving the bay red.

Neil.

engine bay isn't being sprayed now but when i get my new engine in, me and mike(as im borrowing him for his spray gun, he dont know it yet) are gonna do the engine bay then, so it dont look odd. The colour im going for is a Honda named colour so it'll be easy to get hold of again, rather then a one off mixture of colours.

http://www.carismastyle.co.uk is the place i ordered them from.

Body work spec:

GSi front bumper, Novadose rear bumper and side skirts smoothed in.
DTM mirrors, delocked, passenger door de-handeld, Astra GSi vents, repeaters taken out, subtle wrap-a-round spoiler and smoothed tailgate.

Think thats the lot.
