Yes it will run fine with all of your original setup matey, some of the dizzy drives were different between engines but someone more clued up on slotted and pin drives might be able to answer that one lol

pretty sure it was a dizzy from a 16sv engine as the SR had the head off a 16sv on it

1600sv is square port mate as i running 40s on it same head as 1400 also corsa alt wiv extended bracket an bottom pulley works a treat

i nearly put the full 16sv engine in after breaking the crank pulley bolt on the SR engine.came across a gsi engine so going with that on 40's now

Use the gsi head. There is a manifold on ebay just now, search vauxhall nova 1.6 gte manifold. you could port match your manifold to the head but probably not worth it. Has your carb manifold got square ports?

the 1600sv is high compression and holds revs longer an can take a royal thrashin but is not as fast to get there as the 1,4 lump i like the sv as its like a train just keeps going i would recomend use that also bhp is better also cambelt kit is 30 pound lol an so easy to work on also if u put gsi head wont marry up as not square ports also its compression is diff i really would wak the sv lump in mate imo cheers
