Mk2 dash lights

Does anyone know what is ment to light up on the MK2 dash i.e aroung the heater controls, since none of mine light up and i dont know why but it's not the fuse. All that lights up in my 1.4SR is the clock and speedo!

All 3 heater controls, (blower position, temp and blower speed) heated rear window, and head lights are supposed to light up.
All of mine were not working so I replaced the bulbs in them, get a small flat ended screw driver and pop the button out you will see the bulb inside the button.
Theres also supposed to be one in your ash tray.

there should also be one on the hazard button that flashes when on.
