Fitting pillar trims

I've only just noticed that mk1s dont have the pillar trims and obviously don't have the holes for the clips to fit them. So if i was wanting the mk2 trims in what is best way of doing this?

Could i just line the clips up and drill a hole big enough for them to clip in or is there a better way? It'll bug the crap out of me not having them in.

I will do mate, i'll have a look at it over the weekend hopefully and see which is the best way of doing it.
