Hi ive got a mark 1 nova and when i have the heaters on to come out the vents only the end two work. The middle two blow cold air out. Any ideas what it could be causing this before i start to strip out the dash? Thanks

The centre only blows cold as its direct from outside and doesn't pass through the matrix

Some genius at GM decided the centre vents would only blow cold air, usually even with the vents shut lol
So this time of year you either freeze or listen to an annoying whistling noise and freeze slightly less.

It says in the owners manual the reason for doing this is so in cold weather you can have hot air blowing on your feet to warm you up and cool air on your face so you dont get to stuffy lol
More like when they designed it they didnt have room to fit any ducting from the matrix and just said that to make it look like they had meant it lol

Haha that is right funny. I cannot believe that they built them all like this and that is the reason why!

I know the feeling as well lol, just glad to have a working heater at the moment after blowing two heater matrix, knackering the switch and only having the fan working on speed 3 lol
You'll stop moaning about it if we get a warm summer, the centre vents actually blow cold air during warm weather if your over 40mph you get the ram effect, ie the air is cooled.
