ECU Rev limiter

Yello all.

Had my engine semi lightened and balanced so it should now quite happily rev above 7k but on my mk1(1990) GTE I hit red line and it seems the car has a rev limiter built in.
Is it in the ECU?
Anyone know how I remove it or push it up?

built into ECU at 6800

if u fit a superchip itl go to 7000/7200

just becuz ur bottom end is lighter etc doesnt mwan u can rev it more!!!

you shdunt go over 7k unless your prepared to fit arp bolts

Oh right, didn't know that, what are arp bolts? Where are they fitted?
