I have a red, J-reg nova. Unfortunately, parts of it have faded. This presents me with a problem as I am wishing to colour code some stuff incl. a new set of bumpers. What can I do to stop it looking stupid and emphasising the fade?

Also, my passenger side rear arch is rusty (aren't most?) and I wondered if there was an arch kit or something I could put on myself that would cover it? Ive heard about cutting it back and resealing it - but does this change the shape? and how much would it cost?

Any help appreciated! Thanx!

To cure the fading paint -

Wash your car on a cool / overcast day.
Buy some T-Cut, G3 or Auto Glym paint renovator.
Rub it in hard (but not TOO hard)
Then get a clean cloth and rub off.
Then find some top quality polish and really give it a rub in.
Finish off with a coat of wax.

Be aware that if you use G3 don't rub it too hard as it can result in tears but if used properly ya Nova will sparkle.

Cheers - tried T-Cut but will just have to keep going I guess!

T-Cut is now bringing the colour back better - impoves every time. Cheers for advice.

Anyone got any advice on the rusty rear arch thing?!

Am going to attempt to fit ripspeed handbreak cover soon & am I right in thinking to get the old one off, the best thing to use is a mole grip? When I did gearknob, I had to cut the plastic thing off with a saw.

No problem mate. To get ya old handbrake cover off use a sharp knife and slit it from the handbrake knob to the base of the cover on top. It should then split in two. Thats how I got mine off to put a new cover on. (Ya should have used a hairdrier to get ya gearknob off  )

I just grabbed hold of it, and twisted it whilst pulling at the same time.
But then i have a good grip, and my forearms are strong. Must be from regular masturbation. It's not JUST for pleasure!
