Rite.....Filled my car up in the petrol garage (as u do) then went 4 the usual blast around to use it all up! Parks up @ home 2 hours l8a, locks car, end of day.
So, i park it up in work the next mornin, and as i was going 2 have an immobiliser fitted that day, turned around to check the car was well enough parked....only 2 find there is no fcukin fuel cap on the side of my nova just a fcukin hole! I'd left it in the garage! OMG.... :oops:
So i Totally sh*t it....then proceded to spend the next 2 hours trying 2 get a replacement....went 2 my nearest dealership and they wanted... ?35 PLUS VAT so i told the bloke that he has got a good sense of humour, whats the real price, but he wernt jokin (suprise, suprise)! Basically, I then got one from a local parts shop for ?7....after 2 other places had "none in stock"! Relief.
So theres 2 sortof threads here....whats the biggest difference between dealer quoted price and the price u got it somewhere else (freebees from a m8 don't count really unless its a few hundred squid)?
Has anyone else left a fuel cap in the garage?! lol
Sorry kinda pointless....but I'm bored....+ thought you'd all like 2b enlightned by my experience (lol)!

very annoyin thing but easy to happen i suppose!
i left home one day with my phone on the roof of the car!! remembered it about an hour later and thought oh fuck!! drove back the same way and no sign of it. kept ringin it and eventually some guy who found it answered. he said where he was and i met him! he hadn't even used it!

ive left mine on the roof and drove off, not fitted it correctly and its come flyin out! (i hate the nova petrol caps! got a alloy one now).

Best time was when it came out and i didnt know, pulled up at petrol station got my key went to put it in the cap, no cap there abviously and i looked like a right plank!

In an emergency i bought one from vauxhall for 37.50! bloody skank init! Got afew stocked up at home now anyway just in case! lol

when i bought me gte drove down 2 petty station as it was well empty got there tried 2 put the key in it wudnt fit. So went 2 ring me old man got a bollockin off the cashier 4 usin me phone round the pumps.
drove 2 the car park rung me old boy he came out and pulled it off came off a piece of piss filled up
went back 2 give the bloke a right roastin who i bought it off

he'd change the cap and not given me the keys :evil:

I left numerous ones of the lorries in work, always used to pinch one of the other guys when got back to the yard as he never locked it, he nearly got sacked!

oh and i got a full lock set (driver/passenger door locks/boot lock/ignition barrel and petrol cap) for under ?40 from vauxhall. :wink: :lol:

it wasnt but a m8 of mine wanted new head lights and rear light for his saxo so went to a scrappy and got em for ?50 then asked me mum how much they should of bin and it was somefing stupid like ?300
