as far as i'm aware buddy yeah! i replaced one on my 1.0 ohc when i had it with a mk1 astra starter, which was the same!

Yep and baby 16v starters are also the same

I've never found one that doesn't fit, but aren't some smaller than others? I got a reconditioned one and it was a right lump, ended up swapping it for the one off my 1.2 daily that was about half the size, and weight, fitment still the same though. Seem to remember some discussion in Colin Smiths build thread about what the lightest starter was. Not sure if any of this is relevant!
