how come some professions are charged more than others? i'm a mechanic, and always seem to pay over the odds (bar these last two years, thats my fault...)
also got told today by my insurance, that even if i went fully comp they wouldnt cover me to drive other cars because of my job.
also got to say great customer service at Sky, rang for a quote last week and spoke to Luke, very helpful :d
They won't cover you on other cars Asa, as they "presume" you'll use the cover for "foreigners" iirc. That's what I get told anyway! lol

Hi James,

It all comes down to statistics and risk, eg professional footballers are very high risk, A local Government Administrator isn't.

You have a fairly high-risk occupation, statistically speaking

Insuring those with access to a multitude of vehicles increases risk exposure, hence by 99.9% of UK insurers exclude DOC cover for anyone working in the motortrade.

That's good to hear, thanks for the feedback
