Our local one started handing these out when they went 24 hour, be a lot easier if they opened the main doors and let people in!
Its cause your a fat funk that what's to much food..... lol ;)
They have had them in marks and spencer for about 3 years now. Nothing new really.

What happened to the person that walked out to the grill order parking space to hand it to you? So you have to drive back round to get your food which will probably go cold whilst you you queue again!

Yes, they give you a pager at the window as they cannot give you the food there and then. I dont think they will let you wait in the drive thru lane so ordinarily they send you to the grill order parking yes? So they page you to say it is ready so as the pager says you go to collect it from the drive thru window. Now you can either walk over(defeats the object of a drive thru!) Or you drive to the window. Now drive thru lanes are one way so you are going to drive all the way round and if there is a queue of traffic then you have got to sit at the back until every one else has ordered hence your order going cold. So, as i said, whats wrong with the spotty yoof bringing the order to your window?
it all depends on the particular branch as a guess. our local KFC runs as a drivethru only after 10pm, and you simply wait at the window, but it is hardly a massively busy place... whereas the local maccy d has the worlds slowest drive thru, and its far quicker to simply park & walk into the restaurant to order, but i don't exactly frequent the place after 10pm, so i can't comment on just how often the spotty yoof ends up in the bushes & the food order gets trashed
They've been using them for ages in my local maccy d's. Apparently its something to do with a risk assessment about taking food to cars across the carpark after a certain time, but i think its more down to laziness lol.

Ive seen a few mates using them, its only after like midnight or 1am as theyre money grabbing open 24/7 now!
Its because they have minimal staff on overnight, and they dont want to let anyone out to be potentially attacked or used by someone to force their way in to rob them whilst there arent many staff!
