POC plate on a gsi should look like this, 88L is the only change you would need to make as that's the paint code and 88L is star silver.

I won't show the VIN tag on a public forum for obvious reasons lol

Hopefully not hi-jacking here but it appears you're sorted... anybody have a pic of the same information for a GTE? I'm in the exact same dilemma.

Thanks thats great! Im guessing it would be pretty hard to stamp your own plate from a blank, trying to get it all straight etc. For the other plate beside it, you going to try to get one made up from a specialist then?

Oh right I see! It would be nice to have it looking original wouldn't it. I started a thread recently:

http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?195014-VIN-Plate&highlight=vin+plate

One of the fellas mentioned a place in Nottingham, google it and it should give you a website. I haven't contacted them, just gathering info and haven't started the project yet.

I thought they do blank plates and stamping kits??

I meant a different place though, 'Tag Plates' in Nottingham:

http://www.nottinghamonline.co.uk/info/19189/

That link only has their details, they don't seem to have their own website. Could be worth a try?

Hi, i have a similar issue that when i needed to do some welding i spilt some nitromors on the slam panel and it removed the paint from both of these plates now i dont have a clue what the one next door to this one (black and silver, VIN plate?) had/has on it, is there someone who can take a picture of theres and remove there own details in paint or something and post it on here or send me it on email? just want to have one made for mine but want it to look original.

These were the guys I used and the place was recommended to me years ago by the dealer group I now work for. The Vauxhall dealer & bodyshop use them.
I had this made as my old one had corroded away...

My silver ones are good as us my GTE but the black GSI POC plate looks a bit poor the VIN plate is all right though.

Is your dealer doing both plates or just the vin plate?

Good news on the vin plate from vauxhall! Pricey but worth it.

i see you saying you want it original but i feel its worth mentioning that any plate will do, and my rally cars have run without any for years without issues with MOT etc. there was a craze a while back of getting an offcut of carbon and replicating the dimensions of the plate then just make up a clear backed sticker and overlay it to give you the details you want in white/silver etc. hope thats of use to someone.

no point rebuilding a nova to original factory finish and have the wrong or no vin plate, just to keep the car rite, mot over here check for the front vin plates under the engine,
