At the age of 17 I got my first nova,I always wanted a 2.0 litre from reading max power in school. Now I'm 32 and hopefully I can build one exactly the way I want.
Bought this in December 2011
,1 family owned from new low mileage, of course rust in usual places.
All comments welcome good or bad and of course all help very much appreciated

you copy the web address for the image & then you click on the little picture of the tree above where you type, then paste the web address into the box.

what you need to do is when you click on the little tree icon, you must put your mouse on the [http] bit that is in blue, and right click, then paste it, or you duplicate the http bit at the start.. sorry to mislead you there, i forgot.

I don't have a mouse, I have an I phone and I pad and to be honest I haven't a clue but I think I have it working now thanks for the help ill stick more photos up at lunch. These photos are all of the car as it sits now before any work begins

Yes it's a 1992 1.2 expression. Needs a we bit of work but first off ill be stripping it right down, doors, wings,bonnet, bumpers,tailgate and interior etc. I'd like to make a spit so it's easier worked at. Everything will be done on the floor as I don't have a ramp

good start, i had one very similiar years ago i fitted a redtop to, had to look twice at your reg, my car was yxi aswell in white, 1993 expression, some wagon where you based in n ireland

You could always make a spit, there's been a few pics of different ones on here. If your great a welding it's pretty straight forward

I'm going to make a spit I have never welded before in my life but I bought a welder some just gonna give it a go. It doesn't look to hard. ( famous last words )

@boyle yes I think I spoke to him recently about some doors. Give a shout next time your planning on working at yours and ill call for a nosey I just work in Dundonald.
@ kbnova my cousin actually lives in staffordstown so I'd be over there the odd time too. Yes I'm always on look out for parts too but hard enough to come by

Going to try do some more today. Plans for today are get the rest of interior stripped out and hopefully windows then I'll get a look underneath at petrol tank etc. I will try to take as many photos as I can along the way and try to keep this up to date

Can't beat a white nova.:)

No photos today but got both rear 1/4 windows out. Door rubbers off. Seat belts out. A pillar trims and sun visors off. Wiring loom stripped from rear back as far as dash and got most of dash almost out, steering wheel wouldn't come off though. Hopefully do more next week. Can any one point me in the direction of good photos of people fitting rear inner wheel arches ? Cheers

I still have the white car but last year I bought this burgundy shell off Keith. Made a spit and started to restore the shell. I got 2 brand new gm wings.

Took the floor back to bare metal, stitch welded chassis legs, rails and out riggers. Then primed and used white tinted raptor on floor and wheel arches

Got floor cleaned back to bare metal. Used mbx and grinder with wire wheels. That was a dirty job. Sealed all seams and gromits like vag group do from new.

Had to take some of the raptor back when fitting the strength kit, then cleaned back the front splash guards and re raptured the wheel arches.
Also got 2 new genuine gm front wings. Put raptor on the inside of them just to protect

Coming along nicely will you be painting it yourself and what spec will the engine be?

No not painting it myself. My friend is a paint tech rep so I managed to get him to do all the paintwork for me. Once it's rubbed down it will be going to bodyshop for paint work.
The only engine I have at the min is my 1.2 out of my other nova ha. It may well be put in until such times as I can gather money up for a c20let.
Ideally I'd be wanting a let nova at the end. If anyone is looking rid of a cheap one feel free to contact me [emoji12]

Sorry yes i ment the chassis leg mod. I'm not a fan of the look or cutting a big hole right under the turret.

That's fair, it is very shit to have to go back and redo. I know i've done it..lol

I heated mine and gently dented it in. Didn't need alot as i machined my Alt pulleys and bar down.
I dont think there is a best way... Just two ways that get used to fix the issues.
