1.4 injector onto 1.2 engine

Anyone tried taking the injector from a 1.4 single point injection engine and used it in a 1.2 spi engine. If so was hard to do, and make much of an improvement?

on its own it wont do jack cept overfuel

couple it with a 1400 camshaft and SRi exhaust manifold and downpipe and maybe some head work and it will help ;)

well yes and no

a 1400 camshaft and the injector along with a SRi downpipe and manifold will not look any different from a standard 1200 engine

so u could quite easily get away with insuring it as a standard 1.2i or at a push a 1.2i with exhaust mods which will be a good bit cheaper than a 1.4i would cost to insure

might even find that if u got a 1200 carb head and modified the inlet manifold to fit the ports better you'd gain even more power and more than likely have a higher output than a carbed 1200 and possibly even the 1400spi if yer lucky
