i dont know what it is with 80s **** box motors, but you start looking at the loom in the dash, and under the carpets etc, and find miles of live wires going to nothing, lawn mower wire (mainly in my old renaults lol), miles of speaker cable going nowere , this is what was taken from the nova yesterday, feel free to post up whats been hiding behind your dashlol

I shouldve taken a pic of the remnants of old stereo loom i pulled out of mine yesterday, not as impressive as that but still a good chunk of unrequired wiring!

I really couldnt be bothered to pull the dash out and run my new loom in properly, but im glad i did :d

i should have taken a pic of when my nephew got his mates to fit a full ICE setup & a cb in his landrover, and decided to run them live, unfused & unswitched off the battery. the battery is under the passenger seat on a landy, and is covered by a metal plate which in turn, holds the seat runners, so they decided to simply squash the wires between the metal plates & bolt them down!!!!

My mate bought a seat ibiza from accrington a few years back and by the time i had pulled all the wireing out and removed the 4 speaker from each door the car was faster lol

sounds about right..


my stepbrother had a golf that used to get its wiring pruned every few weeks by my dad. a fuse would pop & then he'd cut some more out of it & fix the short, this went on for about a year before he finally bought a cav mk3.

Why would mine be a fire risk anyways, its not like its got a shonky engine from a completely different car, bodged in by some muppet who has no mechanical qualifications, in the tenfoot at the back of his house, whilst drinking heavily, oh hang on.......
