Seriously!!! You cannot sell a car for a million squids because if you went to all the effort of breaking it and trying to sell every little part over the best part of a year or more , and then cutting out the ID and then weighing in the shell, using up all your spare time on a weekend and nights doing so and then dealing with time wasters and wrapping all the parts and going to the post office to post them all you think you'd get that million squids!!!
I keep seeing adverts like this all over.
GET A GRIP!
To break a car consists of a lot of time and effort and not to mention storage, to sell a car consists of one advert and little effort compared to selling every little part.

In cars for sale andy
just read it
Absolute dreamer,no wonder he has 16 cars
what a thread that is lol
The astra is probably worth £500
but a grand for a rotten SR? lol
My reply.....
I'm aware of the rules and Mods delete by all means (and ban me for a week!), but those prices (well some) are all top top end of the spectrum, considering we're in a recession and nova's are getting thin on the ground and Mk2 Astra's even thinner (last 3 Mk2 Astra's I've seen on Ebay have all been auto's, no-one who does a GTE rep is going to drive an auto),
So why would you a car for £200 when it's worth £800 in parts? Because we're in a recession, you'll have the parts for years, you'll have 16 broken cars (if your attitude is the same for the rest of the cars) and unless you're unemployed (not criticising those who are), you will have no social life for the next two years!!!
Worth a ban?

The Astra is the only car that's near a realistic price, the others are VERY FAR off!!
I dont see what the problem is, he could become a millionaire over the next 8 years after stripping all the cars lol lol
SR might have been worth a few quid it if it had brown interior but not a grand
Comments removed, and some of you should know better, for sale forum is not a place for discussion, as long as it is not abusive, then there are other areas where you can discuss these threads, like in here :p

Fair play to him. I wouldnt sell the cars I have for much less than there value in parts and anyone who does is a dumb **** imo

Something that really annoys me, and the thread in question is guilty of, is people who ask for the highest possible price for something then say if its not sold next week I'm scrapping it. Its ridiculous, either buy this for £200 tomorrow or I'll weigh it in for £10 instead, where is the sense in that? just sell the thing for a sensible amount instead.

Its his job! As of tomorrow start ringing every breakers yard in the country calling them cunts for making a living. See what replies you get

Who was it that jumped all over the GSI vectra bumper they had for sale because they were fed up with time wasters? That was funny,
I seem to remember a thread about a cavilier too?

if its his job and thats how he makes a living why isnt he a trader and paying trader fees to the club?

dont worry, its the last time i'l advertise on here first of all to give club members first dibs over parts or cars. ebay it is from now on. if you dont agree with my prices, then dont buy my parts, simple as that.
just because they were advertised at them prices didnt mean that was the lowest i'd accept. dont worry, all 3 cars will be gutted and weighed in. not being funny, its not like i would be breaking L spec nova's, ive got 3 cars with desirable parts on them (snowplough, sr alloys, spoiler etc), so its not like the parts will hang around either.
also just for the record, not that its anyones business, i am a trader not a breaker. i buy and sell cars for a living. as ive got the space, i buy and restore older vauxhall's in my spare time. from time to time i occasionally get offered rotten pears that get gutted for bits, otherwise the ones i can save get saved. ive saved over 20 nova's in the past year from scrap, along with cavalier mk2 & mk3's, astra mk2's, carltons etc.

What does that have to do with you exactly?

What does that have to do with you exactly?
what doesn't it have to do with every club member?
novarally paid the prices for years and ive seen and know of other people that have had threads removed due to not paying traders fees.

I dont get it, the parts seemed pretty reasonable? everything looked there for the sr which is hard to find these days. ID rather pay over the ods if all the parts are there but the car doesnt work than a car that works but is bodged together with parts from a halfords bargin bin.
Granted car pices were a bit high but you could probably have haggled him down If you turned up with cash and a trailer. Thats usualy how 2nd hand cars trade?
if you think its too dear, dont buy it.
I think its worse how everybody expects a bargain because its an old car. The fact is when you NEED a particular part people are willing to spend much more.

Exactly. +Rep

Cos forgive me if i'm wrong without members the club isnt a club lolworks both ways. Someone has to have the rights to the club and run it first. Fair enough the way I worded it was a tad ignorant but
I still dont get how you it affects his life to such an extent he has to jump up and down shouting about it

It's not that one advert, it's many adverts I keep seeing on many forums or websites.
If its their jobs, FairPlay
But I still dont think a full car without MOT/doesn't run/rotten/etc. is worth what the owner thinks they could get if they break it. Due to the time and effort in breaking said car.
Talking like that you must think it's yours *aka - quick quick andy has commented, I must jump on the band wagon* :tosser:

Lets be fair if the cars in question were listed on ebay for those prices, I bet everyone would be slagging them off, "I bought a mint Nova for £50 etc". I don't think its unfair to have an opinion on how something is priced, shouldn't get a free ride because its on here and not ebay.
Not reading five pages of rubbish.
People have the right to try an sell anything for whatever price they want. Even if its stupid, do not post crap in the thread as it are against the rules etc.
Grow the hell up and chill out people!
