im guessing its not going to do 1000's of miles on a tank, anyone ideas what can i expect if

A) i thrash it
B) take it steady

my 1.3sr will do 200 miles on a tank (?30)

f ya drive it on you will use pleanty.
if ya take it easy you will use slightly less than pleanty!!
I never thought about it when i had one and if it bothers ya then dont bother fitting it.
Power must come from somewhere!

I have been driving a 2.0l 16v around all week, i filled it up last weekend, so far i have used 2/3 of a tank and have done 240 miles, tank was ?28 so wasnt completely empty.

EDIT

Also i dont drive carefully in any way.

The only reason i can devise is...

The engine came out of an Astra GTE and they wernt the most economical but not that bad either, whilst the engines in the nova its doing less pulling as with the astra as its a lot lighter etc, so wont use as much fuel.

Makes sense to me.

astra gte 16v @ 56mph = 50mpg!!

 why does every one assume you get rubbish mpg???? my 16v was far more economical than my 1.6gte or my other novas, think it is a big engine designed to pull the weight of astras, cav and calibras etc, why would it have a problem pulling a match box of a nova down the road? surley you get better mpg with it in a nova due to the weight ratio?
