as bazil said they are good but can run off with you
but if your filling walls in the house or taking the head off the filler there brill for that

edit: there not that bad this time of year they dont freeze your hands as bad as the air d a's lol

I have the machine mart one too, works great, just like a air DA, just a bit bigger. Altho the head is a bit smaller, so 3M sanding discs over lay the end which is very annoying.

I've had one for a good while now and it works fine, little bit on the heavy side compared to the air sander.

Ive got both an air and electric one. Both work just as good dont get me wrong but air sanders are sooooo much easier on the wrist as there loads lighter.

I might get one then, saves buying a huge compressor

The air da sanders do use rather alot of air lol

My electric ones been perfect for what I need but like mike said after 30mins-1hr of use they do become hard work on the wrist due to there weight. If your doing larger projects where you can use both hands on the electric sander it'll do your job mate.

As said. air DA's zap psi real fast. saying that all proper air tools do.

Youd need a decent compressor too as they need to run at a constant 90psi ideally.

I bought a CP (chicago pneumatic) air DA that i use at work and it weights about 200gram. The cheapo made in iraq 240v I sometimes use at home is good but over 1kg in weight.

I bought one today. It was 60 quid from machine mart. It's really light and takes 150mm disks.
