I don't build NCB, limited use policy 5000 miles, excludes commuting to work but does allow me to drive other cars third party.

If you have "other cars" benefit 3rd party through flux you are probably with Chaucer.

I have 2 ncb built up after running two cars for 10 years but one year I used a classic car company and found out after that as they are not part of the NCB, if you use them for 2 or more years you loose the NCB you built up.

I did ask flux about this Marc, I have 14 years and had no car to use it on. They said I can put my NCB on my classic policy to keep them active but as the policy price is not effected by the NCB I wouldn't loose it if I claimed on the policy.

Sounds odd but I was assured I couldn't loose it in this way,

Over the years in here I have seen the pitfalls of poor classic policies and as such I made sure I got the best terms I could, maybe not the cheapest but it was worth the £250

In all honesty a good policy even with 14 years ncb would still be the best part of £250 so I would say you've done well.

All of tbe firms ive had classic car policys state that you have to be 25+ and most wont insure modifyed cars and they have to be parked on a drive or in a garage oh and it has to be worth more than 1k aswell as the limited milage of 5k a year and i had to send pictures off to prove mine was standard to get the agreed value of 1k im only paying £160 for the year with 7 ncb on my 1.2 loon

I once got cheap insurance for my SR, but the photos had to be precise, they then were awkward about valuations and I just got the feeling that if there was a claim they were ensuring it would be pointless so I didn't go back, can't rememebr the company though!

Although, a claim on an old Nova is probably pointless anyway......
